Harvested in the cool of the night to preserve freshness and
quality, the grapes were cool fermented in stainless steel in
individual batches. Lees stirring added palate length and
roundness before the wine was blended, stabilised, left on
lees, and filtered ahead of bottling.

In the early 1900s Don and Ethel Forbes started a new chapter in their story, staking their familyās future on a 600 acre block of land nestled within a large sweeping bend of the mighty Murray River.
Today, the Zilzie Winery stands on Selection 23 and we remember our journey from the very first boots, and each generation that has followed since to carve their own path.
